Watch papers

Paper or silk roundels carrying details of the watch maker or repairer were produced to fit into pocket watches to keep their mechanisms free of dust. Later, after successive repairers had added their roundels, they assumed a greater advertising role.

All intaglio printed, mostly early 19th century
